Shopping not so sober

Kimmy: Well, just remember, you only had 2 drinks. (wink)

Um, yeah…

Damn it, it’s the holidays.

And I’m tots happy about what I got at the Twilight Shopping Benefit at Organic Interior Design: a queen sheet set (flat, fitted, and 2 pilow shams), 350 thread count organic cotton by Anna Sova for $140.25 after discount.

Also got some holiday cards with envelopes — 15 tasteful, recycled ones — not religious, of course — from Mudlark, for $9. Says the sticker on the box: “Your Mudlark purchase supports the Child Welfare League of America.”

Me: This League better not be some anti-choice shit.

So I did a lil research once I got back. The CWLA’s website’s down, but it looks like the org definitely supports gay and lesbian rights. It backed ACLU in challenging Florida’s gay adoption ban last year.

Everything at Organic Interior Design’s sustainable in some way — It’s recycled, organic, or both. Which makes me wonder why I’ve never even heard of the place before. Which makes me think they need a lil help getting the word out.

kellyYou gotta admit — The place is pretty. I’m especially covetous of this red bed (right) –

And Kelly, the principal designer and owner of the place (left), was super nice, topping off everyone’s champaign glass. Which is kinda why I went over my limit…
