How did I not know about this other subversive hummer site? (By “other,” I mean other than FUH2)
ihumpedyourhummer has videos of — people humping hummers. Sorta interesting in themselves, but what really got me was the manifesto, which begins:
We believe placing a hummer in virtually any context—particularly in contemporary American society—unnecessarily militarizes otherwise neutral, benign public spaces. It is a gross display of power and unrighteous dominion to park a Hummer somewhere that would otherwise be occupied by something considerably more pleasant….
Our contention is with the way in which ordinary, unthreatening public areas are rendered hostile and aggressive by the imposition of a vehicle as large and militaristic as a Hummer.
The best way to challenge the legitimacy of such a political act is not to counter it with an equally rigid, forceful counterstrike, but rather to perform an equivalent de-politicizing or a-politicizing gesture. Such a gesture is ideally made manifest—virtually flawlessly executed—in the form of a humping.
A confrontation between an ordinary individual and the Hummer, an embodiment a number of ethically suspect forces at work, yields a fundamental, primitive tension that can only be resolved by the radical destabilization that a good humping produces. Those who see our actions merely as amorous displays toward a monolithic machine of our age are not looking closely enough. A thorough, critical observation of the Hummer-humping act goes far deeper than the pelvic thrusts noted after a cursory glance.

have you been in the humvee? the h2 is not a military vehicle by any standard. it is a limo or weighted down taho. as for ugly have you seen the pt cruiser? nothing beautiful there. i like the humping h2 thing but there is so much anger here.
i ride my bicycle 5 days a week to work and i drive a h2 or my porsche every where else. did you know dodge makes 2 production cars that are both less green than the H2? do you have any idea what they are? i will bet you dont. did you know that last year china made almost 200k cars and truck, while the country does not remove sulfer from its gas making each car less green than 5 h2’s driving the same distance? have you stacked up the h2 against classic old cars like say a 56 chevy? guess what h2 more green not because of fuel economy but because better emission standards. so i ask what are you angry at this poor h2 about? not the best car but there are far worse out there. it just sticks out so it is easy to pick on.

Hey anon — No — I wouldn’t be caught dead in the humvee — and I’m cool with the anger against it. And I have to say I really don’t give a shit what the fuck Dodge is making — I mean, it’s not like I’m recommending that people buy Dodges instead — or 56 Chevies, for that matter.
My point is, I don’t feel I need to prove that the H2 is the absolute worst vehicle out there before saying I don’t like those behemoths. Those things are huge, and they’re huge eyesores. Their exhaust hurts my lungs and gives me allergies — much more so than my rarely-driven Honda Civic 2-door. And regardless, even China has higher fuel efficiency standards than the US.

On my H2 i added a supercharger which boosted it up to 700 horsepower. I added chrome hood vent, chrome bumper, chrome rail bars in the front, chrome skid plates back and front. chrome side vents, chrome upper louvers, chrome back bumpers chrome back skid plates, 24 inch chrome rims with 37 inch tires. I gotta buy chrome tow hooks now….

I love my H1 and i don’t give a fuck to flipping idiots like you…. the other day I saw one guy clicking a self image in front of my H1 with his flipping finger.
I went up to him and offered to click his snap…. and I clicked a very nice snap of his.
Then all i said was…. I wish you could afford that and started my H1 …. i loved the jaw dropping gaping mouth of his on my rear view mirror.
