exactly! who the fuck are they???? i read this somewhere else, so i will not take the credit, but it was like wallace asked him, “why did you kill 3,000 people?” rude. i can’t imagine a person with a conscience that wouldn’t have reacted that way.

Hi Siel!
Talk about a pleasant surprise! I go for my daily dose of Green and you’re talking about me! I thought I’d gone through the looking glass. Here’s me, reading about greenLAgirl, talking about me, for taking HER starbucks challenge. Now I’m writing a comment about this experience and we’ll both end up reading that. This is getting way too meta; I may have to lie down.
You asked who I am? Briefly: a) a huge fan of your excellent, informative and entertaining blog. b) a coffee aficionado, and c) a Santa Monica professional computer consultant (nerd) doing what he can to make the world a slightly better place by making more informed choices.
I’ll keep an eye out for you at local starbucks outlets, and at the Sunday Main St. Farmers Market, where I’m a regular habitue too. I’ve been going to Starbucks way more since I started the challenge than I ever used to. My favorite local places are Groundwork for a quick cup, and Velocity Cafe (which serves Groundwork coffee) when I want to hang out.
Stay tuned, one more Challenge is on the way, I just have to write it up!
thanks for the props - you totally made me blush,
Larry

The irony no doubt escaped Chris - Fox News: Where We Mix Information AND Anger.
As an aside, I’ve been loosely following the Governor’s race there. Do you think Angelides’s slide in the polls is a result of Ahhhhhhhhhrnold’s leadership on global warming? It even made the papers here, although nothing really specific was reported other than he is doing “something.”

A lot of the time, I think Angelides’ slide in the polls is not actually a slide in the polls but an effort on the MSM’s part to make Angelides seem less popular than he really is.
Am I getting conspiracy theory prone?
Larry — Great to hear from you :) I’ll keep an eye out for future challenges!
And Callie — I agree. Clinton’s reaction has to be considered in conjunction with the absurd questions posed to him. I actually really found it invigorating to see a politician get personally invested in and worked-up about this issue –
