How I’m voting for the environment on Nov. 7, 2006.
My vote on Prop 1D: YES
Prop 1D has pretty strong bipartisan support. Basically, 1D would let the state to sell $10.4 billion in bonds to build new public schools and to repair and improve existing schools.
We all know Cali public schools have major overcrowding issues. This prop would help de-crowd our schools.
The San Francisco Chronicle provides a quick breakdown of where the $10.4 would go. A buncha different educational facilities, from kindergarten programs to community colleges, the UCs, and the Cal State Univs., get a lil something :)
