How I’m voting for the environment on Nov. 7, 2006, at the state-level. Here’s how I’m voting on the propositions.
My vote for CA Attorney General: Jerry Brown
What does the CA Attorney General do?: The AG represents Californians in civil and criminal trials. In addition, the Attorney General establishes and operates projects and programs to protect Californians from fraudulent, unfair, and illegal activities that victimize consumers or threaten public safety, and enforces laws that safeguard the environment and natural resources.
______
Jerry Brown’s likely to win this one :) I’ll be voting for him for the same reasons I voted for him in the primaries:
Environmentally speaking, Jerry’s got both the California League of Conservation Voters and California Sierra Club endorsements.
Jerry, Oakland Mayor, is a 68-year-old veteran of Cali politics. His experience got him an endorsement from the LA Weekly, which says Jerry’s “against corporate polluters” and brings “visionary zeal to environmentalism.”
Plus, despite accusations to the contrary, Jerry supports a woman’s right to choose and supports gay rights.
The guy has a blog, btw, with a recent post about how environmentalism’s alive and well in Oakland :)

Please vote against the sale of Paradise Valley Hospital to Prime Reddy. The community of National City needs a non-profit hospital to take care of their low income citizens. Selling this hospital to a for profit group will be the same as taking away hospital services to this community.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
