		<description>Hi Siel,

When I debated Lockyear 1-on-1 a few weeks ago on KQED public radio, I was able to plant a few seeds about the need for pushing environmental and social justice by using our Treasury. In fact, my platform has been to encourage the State to invest more money in community development banks and credit unions...something Lockyear had not given any thought to. He's expressed great interest in my ideas for the State Treasury and I hope to work with him (on a volunteer basis) to implement these ideas after the election.

As far as my limited government experience...what can I say? Bill Lockyear has been in Calfornia politics for over 35 years...is an attorney, not qualified as an Investment Manager, and is now running for Treasurer. This is a slap in the face to the idea of term limits. Sigh...

We need new candidates, new ideas, and new energy in our Government Siel. Otherwise, the past will be our future.
