So when Britt Bravo, author of Have fun Do Good (among other blogs), came down from NoCal to visit, we had to stick to places we could roll into. Literally.
“We’re on rollerskates,” Britt said on her celly, “on the Venice boardwalk.” Meaning her and her boyfriend [Update: Husband, not bf], not a royal we.
So I biked over (I can’t rollerskate) and we went to Fig Tree’s Cafe, a v. enviro and health conscious eatery right on the boardwalk!
We’re talking local organic fruits and veggies from nearby farms, free range organic eggs, and wild and line caught fish — all while taking in the beach and feeling the ocean breeze.
The tea comes from Numi, which has lots of organic and fair trade blends; the coffee comes from Groundwork Coffee, which is all organic and fairly traded :)
I shoulda taken pics of the food — but at least I remembered to get one of me and Britt, right :)
Fig Tree’s Cafe. 429 Ocean Front Walk. Venice. 310.392.4937. 9 am - 9 pm daily.
