Free Black Gold screening in Pasadena, then on PBS

Posted by Siel in art/lit/music, caffeine, fairtrade, losangeles (Saturday February 17, 2007 at 3:11 pm)

Inspired to act after watching Black Gold? (film review here). This post’s part of a series for people who’ve seen (or want to see) the film and want to act.

First, Black Gold’s coming to Pasadena via a free screening at Ten Thousand Villages.

On Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 at 7 pm, stop by Ten Thousand Villages Pasadena for a free screening with freshly-brewed fair trade coffee and other yummies. Just show up — early, since seating’s limited — at 496 S. Lake Ave. in Pasadena to catch the show. The store’s number’s 626.229.9892.

But more importantly — Black Gold’s gonna be broadcasted on PBS on Tuesday, April 10, 2007!

I learned about this good news via fotzepolitic — and am psyched despite the fact that I don’t watch TV. My TV’s antenna-less (and cable-less) — so I only watch DVDs on it.

But if you’ve got a TV that works, tune in! Check broadcast listings here.
