Go surfing, eat chips, save whales

Here’s a snack for nature-loving surfers: Whale Tails Tortilla Chips

A couple surfing buddies — Ric Kraszewski and Rick Grant — decided that chips made in the shape of whale tails would be better to dip with — and made Whale Tails Tortialla Chips. These whale-tale shaped chips are crunchy and dip-friendly — and 10% of profits goes to the Magdalena Baykeepers, created to monitor the water quality in the bay and raise awareness about environmental and water quality issues in local communities in Baja California, Mexico.

These chips’re made with organic corn, contain no GMOs or trans fats, and are seasoned with Alaea Hawaiian Sea Salt harvested from tidal pools in Hawaii.

And luckily for us in SoCal, these chips are avaliable at your nearest Whole Foods. In fact, that’s how Ric found me — a UCLA student told him ’bout my blog while he was doing an in-store demo at Whole Foods in Westwood.

Eat chips, watch whales, surf happy –
