- Batteries you can recharge via a USB port!. As a sidenote, my dumbest electronic purchase was a digital camera that takes AA batteries, cuz they just don’t have enough power and I constantly have to recharge them. These USBCELL batteries might make things a bit easier –

the AA size USB battery has 1300mAhr fully loaded. a good AA rechargeable battery has ca 2400 mAhr.
so the USB is probably same capacity as the batteries that came with camera, usually not top notch capacity …
but then, it also depends on much power the camera sucks. i hade a HP735 and it sucked battery like crazy (the w 1100 mah that came did not last long - perhaps 100pics). now i have a lumix with much smaller battery (750mah) and is lasts a few hundred pics.

Battery life on a digital cam can be vastly improved simply by turning off the screen (easily the biggest power suck on the device). (Similarly, dimming the screen on your laptop will also increase battery life quite a bit)
Another thing I do is make sure the flash is off. But that’s more because I hate how flash ruins most photos. But that’s my artistic sensibility, not environmental! Still, try taking shots without the flash, and see how it works!

I love that Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event. This is the first I’d heard of it. It’s great to see men do something to try to end rape.
