Heather will be at Vroman’s Bookstore, 695 E. Colorado Blvd., in Pasadena on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at 7 pm.

  1. I’m all about the lawns made of moss. Have you heard of these? They consist of 6 - 10 varieties and tend themselves.

The problem is, they take years to cultivate. Sometimes as long as decade before you have a nice velvety carpet of moss.

I suppose a garden would be even better since you can’t eat moss :P

  2. No — Hadn’t heard of them! Sounds cool, but would they work in SoCal? I thought mosses only liked shady damp areas — Maybe there are sun-loving varieties I don’t know about?

  3. Perhaps you’ll find a project our office is sponsoring to be interesting, too: Citrus Sunday. We ask the community on May 6th to take the citrus fruit from their yards and donate it to their local food bank.

More information can be found on our website at http://www.cd12.org.
