Acai sorbet makes a good lunch

Lunch today: A half pint of Sambazon Organic Acai Sorbet — original flavor.

I first tasted this stuff at the Specialty Coffee Association of America conference. This organic sorbet’s v. refreshing, not too sweet (it’s sweetened with agave nectar), and apparently full of antioxidants. Plus, Sambazon’s mission’s to preserve the Amazon rainforest; the company’s a member of the Fair Trade Federation.

So today I found the sorbet at Co-opportunity — but only the original flavor. I’m v. curious about the two others that aren’t there: Mango Uprising and Strawberry Samba….

I got home and made a meal of the sorbet, eating it right out of the carton. Very yummy. And not as unhealthy as eating ice cream for lunch.

I’m a little cold now though –

Slowly, I’m becoming a big acai fan. I already wrote ’bout how I loved Zola Acai juice….

  1. Really? I tried some acai thing from TJ’s and couldn’t get over the aftertaste. We had to cut it with apple juice to make it tolerable.

  3. I love Sambazon’s products. I’ve never had the sorbet though, just their smoothie packs. I’ll be sure to check it out.
