green LA girl at PSFK on 9/18

The trends and innovations company PSFK’s put together an LA conference happening Tuesday — and I’m gonna be on the Point A to B panel about transporting culture talking about de-car-ing in LA :)

When: Tuesday, September 18, 2007, 8 am - 6 pm
Where: Pacific Design Center, 8687 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles.
Cost: Expensive! $300

Why you should go to this day-long conference: Vogue, KCRW, Getty Images, and the Suicide Girls’re all part of the day. The conference’s “aim is to inspire our readers, conference guests and clients to make things better - whether that’s better marketing, better service, new product ideas or a new way of working. Change must happen to make things better.”

The panel I’m on, “Point A to B,” happens at an unfortunately early hour — 9:55. But I’ll make it! In it:

Can you survive in Los Angeles without a car? The idea of car-lessness is making a booming influence on the centric car culture of L.A. Roberto Espinosa and Michael Powers, a newly formed creative duo, explore the subject with a mulit-media presentation and live panel.

Other panelists include Sue Doyle, Transportation writer from the Daily News, Margret Kemp from Flexcar, and Fredrick Dennstedt of MetroRiderLA.

If you don’t have tickets for the PSFK Conference yet, get it in the next 12 hours before sales end!
