Finally, a fair trade fest in Los Angeles! A long while back, I vaguely helped plan this event — Just Lives Festival — then got too involved in other stuff to help anymore :( But! The event planning’s forged on sans me, happily :)
When: Sept. 30, 2007, 8 am - 2 pm
Where: Hollywood Farmers’ Market, Ivar & Selma Ave., Los Angeles.
Cost: Free!
So get into fair trade, sweatshop-free, and local movements all at once via the coalitions behind Just Lives Festival. To make it easy, the fest’s happening in conjunction with the Hollywood Farmer’s Market.
Check out fair trade handcrafted items, eco-friendly tote bags, sweatshop-free clothes, and lotsa informational booths for your edu-entertainment.
Just Lives Festival’s organized by Fair Trade LA, Catholic Relief Services, Progressive Jewish Alliance, Anti-Body, HALA and many other groups. For more info, contact Emily Fernandez, 213 268 1069 or email ftlafernandez@yahoo.com.

I hope the festival receives lots of attention to help spread the word about these important issues.
