Drinking review of 2007, plus a resolution for 2008
The problem with keeping track of your New Year’s Resolutions with stickers: You know exactly how badly you fail. In 2007, my general goal was to cut back on the drinking. The results are below. Here’s the number of days I had 2 or fewer drinks in 2007, by month:
Jan: 14
Feb: 6
Mar: 6
Apr: 6
May: 9
June: 8
July: 20
Aug: 13
Sept: 13
Oct: 16
Nov: 9
Dec: 7
Total: 127
Actually, that’s over a third of the days in the year, which might be pretty good. The prob is that I didn’t keep good records for 2006, so I’m not sure whether I actually cut back or not….
But this year, I’m definitely going to do better than last year. To do so, I’ll need to earn a sticker (drink 2 or less drinks in a day) for 11 days each month. Totally doable! Totally SMART!
Off to investigate in my diary how I managed to do so well in July –

I actually poured out half a bottle of wine on Wednesday, but then yesterday I bought another case. I keep vowing to cut back on the alcohol too, but if I do that, how can I keep my wine corks list updated? I need others to share the drinking burden with me!
