So the Valley isn’t as hip or cool as “The Westside”? There are plenty of us here fueling our cars with vegetable oil, composting, and raising our children to be as green as possible.
I’ll take “real” over hip anyday.

Dude, it’s a joke — chill out.
I don’t get why valley peeps get so touchy ’bout this kind of stuff. Does it really mean that much to you whether or not other people think the valley’s “hip or cool”?
When people make fun of the westside, I laugh along — because really, it beats the hell out of living in the valley –
Maybe it would help you to pretend that those making fun of the valley are just jealous. They’re not, but imagining jealousy might give you some peace of mind –
