A twice-weekly sharing of eco-shwag. Except it’s been more than twice a week lately.
Today’s giveaway’s a copy of Green Chic: Saving the Earth in Style, a chatty, crunch-free book that can put you on your green path. It’s kind of like green LA girl — except a lighter green and in print.
I reviewed the book here. To get in the drawing, leave a comment by Friday letting me know what in the review made you want to read the book. The rawing happens Saturday; US addresses only.

I’d never heard that being green would impact hip-ness… but writing about how to make it “chic” is even better.

After reading the review, I’m interested in being entered for the drawing based on the scope of how she addresses green-ness, as well as her “big and small changes” to being green.
Like you, I’m also interested in having a green wardrobe, especially since my old clothes become the material for my dogs’ beds, so I want to make sure that they’re living healthy, and I am, too. Plus–if there’s a way to be fashionable and green in an affordable manner (I’m a grad student), then I want to know about it! (I checked out the link to Nau–what a great paper topic! But even with 50% off, so incredibly expensive!)
Another reason why I’m interested in the book after reading your review: the author also addresses living green on the East Coast–as an East Coast fan of yours, I am often wistful and envious of all the things you can do to live green in LA. Here in the greater DC metro area, I often have to drive in to a metro point, park my car, and then ride in to DC. (Riding a bike would be suicidal on the Beltway!) So I figure if the author has tips about Boston, then some of those tips must be applicable to DC as well…
anyway, if I didn’t say it already, please consider me for the drawing! :-)

I’ve been waiting for the Indianapolis Public Library to get this book in for a number of months… still hasn’t arrived! Although this is book is a “lighter shade of green”, I think sharing it with my girlfriends here in Indy (with a city population that is only now getting into the “green scene”) would be fantastic. It was a culture shock moving from Chicago to Indy how behind this city is in “sustainable thinking”. It has definitely improved in the 3 years I’ve been here, but I’m still looking towards the coast (hence, reading your blog) for the latest and greatest for green news. Please enter me too. Thank you, Sandy

Yep, I realize I’m lucky to be in L.A. with its sprouting of green.
But, I do have “green envy” when I think about what cities like San Francisco have going on.
And, yes, do enter me in your drawing. From one Girl to another, love your info.

After reading your review, I love how this book seems to most aspects of my lifestyle. It’s a little overwhelming trying to start out going green, not knowing many reliable sources - and *really* tricky finding fashionable green alternatives. This sounds like a more productive starting place than google and desperate search word guesses!

I like that it’s aimed for the “girly market” and for those who are “eco-curious but not yet eco-committed”, and how it covers many topics including big and small changes you can make.
