I've had many inspiring conversations while standing around having a beer at green drinks. Connecting and meeting new people has it's place in the environmental movement and can certainly help bring about change. Ondine – I love a good speaker, but I also think the event should be kept social… I’ve had many inspiring conversations while standing around having a beer at green drinks. Connecting and meeting new people has it’s place in the environmental movement and can certainly help bring about change.

I wish you had been asked to speak or that there had been other speakers. Part of the whole "environmentalist" gig is bringing issues forward, getting others involved and pushing for change. If we all stand around and drink beer, it ain't gonna happen. Hopefully we'll see more speakers at these events in the future.
