Everyone’s doing it — so why can’t I? Actually a lotta people are writing top 10 lists — but 10’s like 7 too many for me. Thus, here’s my 1st top 3 list — A few new(ish) blogs I think you could get into in this new year –
For local politics: Eric Garcetti’s blog. This guy’s the LA Council Prez — and an environmentalist :) He also regularly updates his blog, and many posts are really helpful, practical stuff — i.e. how one can recycle one’s xmas tree in LA. Read, and get a lil more optimistic about politics.
For locavores: NittyGritty. This brand new blog’s one locavorian’s daily food diary of sorts, covering “the nitty gritty of eating more locally and more organically, and cooking at home most days of the year.” (via GroovyGreen).
For WorldChangers in LA : WorldChanging Los Angeles. It’s new, it’s local, it’s worldchanging — and it’s still ramping up. Lemme know if you’re an LA-based worldchanger who wants to get involved as a writer for WCLA –
Other suggestions? Add ‘em in the comments –

Thanks, siel! We hope you and your readers will enjoy our Nitty Gritty project this year.
