		<description>I think that there&#039;s a realy dramatic case of diminishing returns when it comes to literary theory. I did two semesters of it in undergrad, and read a bit afterwards, but I have to say that sometime around the middle of the second semester was the point where it transformed from thinking about how to approach the act of reading/criticism to primarily navel-gazing. I do have to admit that the heavily New Critic-influenced regular lit classes had far more to do with my thoughts on literary theory than did any of the theoretical reading that I did.</description>
