Earlier this month I republished Think Before You Pink — or why buying stuff hasn’t cured cancer — a post that looks at how many companies donate only a tiny portion of their pink-themed products — while getting a huge boost for their pink-washing ways.

Well, one Los Angeles restaurant’s serious about going pink. During October, Osteria La Buca‘s donating the entire month’s proceeds to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Now, that’s a serious commitment I can get behind. In addition to the generous donation plege, Osteria La Buca’s offering free delivery — on an all-electric motorcycle, no less — to patients and their families undergoing breast cancer treatment at Cedars Sinai. The restaurant’s also repainted itself pink to raise awareness — and pinked up its menu too, with a Pink Sangria and some extra healthy options — like a fig and kale-topped pizza!

The tiramisu was not one of those healthy options — but I popped a lactaid for it anyway at a blogger tasting dinner last week. The dessert was extra light, delicious, and decadent –
The menu tends to be dairy rich, so vegans and lactose-intolerant people should prepare accordingly. If you need more reading to whet your appetite, LAist has an interview with owner Graham Snyder on why he decided to paint Osteria La Buca pink, while I Nom Things has the best photos from the dinner I went to.
The pink menu lasts only until the end of this week, so to enjoy artisanal cheeses and cured meats alongside heirloom tomatoes while sending money to help find a cure for breast cancer, visit Osteria La Buca on or before Halloween.
