What I do

I write and speak about environmental and fair trade issues. I’m a Contributing Editor at BlogHer.com (formerly Green section editor). Previously, I headed up LATimes.com’s environmental blog, Emerald City, served as editor for the L.A. section of WorldChanging, contributed to KPCC‘s green blog Pacific Swell, blogged for Mother Nature Network‘s lifestyle section, and wrote the Green News is Good News blog for Lime.com (since bought by Gaiam).

I’ve been interviewed and recognized as an environmental lifestyle expert on NPR’s Weekend Edition, SELF, GOOD, Sacramento News & Review, SFGate, KoreAm, and many other publications. To find out more about what I’ve been writing or doing outside this blog, visit my CV-esque page or check out miscellaneous posts about what I’ve been up to.
