Big Blue Bus will be opening a new store called Blue: The Transit Store on Broadway and Third, announced Dan Dawson, Public Information Officer at BBB, at the Big Blue Bus’ community meeting on Monday.
This new store’ll include a call center, a lost and found, and a store to buy getaway tickets and fare. In addition, the store will be open extended hours, including Saturdays.
Green building fans will be excited to hear that Blue: The Transit Store is expected to be one of the greenest stores in Santa Monica, with photovoltaic panels, recycled tire floors, strawboard walls, recycled bottle countertops, and curved ceilings for natural lighting.
The store’s scheduled to open in the Fall.
