Got an email from Nick, one of the director/producers for the fair trade film, Black Gold (previous written about here), letting me know that this Sundance-feted film’s coming to our very own Arclight Hollywood!

When? This August 18 – 24, cuz the film’s been selected for Docuweek, hosted at the Arclight.

DocuWeek basically helps qualify documentaries for Academy Award consideration. Sez Nick: “Our first challenge is to get as many people in LA to those screenings as possible. Please help us spread the word.”

So if you’re in LA, write “Go see Black Gold” into your calendar for that week. If you’re not, do not despair! Black Gold‘s gonna be released in cities across the US between September and October.
