Blogger Beach Cleanup Prize: $50 gift certificates to SEED Restaurant

Posted by Siel in environment (Friday October 23, 2009 at 6:01 pm)

We’ve already got 37 L.A. bloggers signed up for the Blogger Beach Cleanup tomorrow afternoon — but if you’re a blogger who hasn’t committed yet, here are 3 more reasons to clear your afternoon for the environment: You could win one of 3 $50 gift certificates from SEED Restaurant!

SEED Restaurant in Venice, Los Angeles

SEED is a Japanese-American fusion vegan macrobiotic restaurant in Venice that makes its dishes with local, organic ingredients. If you love the dessert at M Cafe de Chaya, you’ll be happy to know SEED was opened by Chef Eric Lechasseur, who concocted those M Cafe pastries.  I haven’t been to SEED yet myself, but Caroline on Crackwho’ll be at the cleanup tomorrow — says she loved the seitan in her Thai coconut red curry.

On the day of the event, each volunteer will be asked at sign-in how they heard about the event — and the four blogs mentioned most often will win either one of the gift certificates from SEED or the $50 certificate from The Green Life. The blogger who brought out the most people will get to pick first.

So if you haven’t signed up already, sign up now — and invite your readers to sign up too! Email greenlagirl@gmail.com to sign up as a blogger-participant and your blog will be highlighted both on green LA girl and The Daily Ocean. Get blog bling for Blogger Beach Cleanup and announce your eco-volunteering ways!

And stop by SEED to find out what organic, local, vegan, macrobiotic food tasts like.

SEED Restaurant. 1604 Pacific Ave., Venice. 10 am – 9 pm daily.
