Speaking" title="BlogHer '07, July 27-29" />I’ve streamlined, and no longer contribute to Treehugger or edit WorldChanging LA. But I’m a contributing editor to BlogHer, and I’ll be in Chicago for the BlogHer conference at the Navy Pier on the last weekend of July.
Anyone can register to go, if you’d like to join me — or see me speak at the “Getting It On(Line) for a Cause-Consciousness : Part 2 – Raising Consciousness” panel, happening Friday, July 26, 2007, from 4:30 – 5:45 pm.
Open to suggestions for things to check out while I’m there. Maybe I’ll do a meet & greet at the Swim Cafe! Not sure how many readers I have in Chicago, but at the v. least I can coax some of my college friends out for a cup of fair trade coffee –
I definitely plan to visit Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet, a public art exhibition of 100 globes displayed along Chicago’s lakefront “to create awareness and provoke discussion about potential solutions to global warming. Solutions that can be put into practice every day…at home, on the job and in your school.”
Visitors can pledge to make 5 enviro-friendly changes — and get entered into a drawing for a Prius. Hosted by the City of Chicago, the exibit runs until September 2007. (via The Green Life)

That’s so cool!!!
