I used the list to locate Fair Trade coffee shops in Boston. It was very helpful. But, I would like to have more variety of fair trade coffee shops…

Great list. Food For Thought , a radically green little company from Michigan just launched the first in the nation Fair Trade Certified fruit preserves. We've been making them organically for over 11 years, but now we're FT! Hopefully some of the shops listed here will consider carrying us. Timothy Young President/Chef

Hi Siel, just stumbled upon your blog and and really like it. Re. Chicano Perk, they’ve moved from their old spot on 25th Street to National City Blvd. in Natl. City. It’s in the 600 block but I’m not sure of the exact number. I’m a San Diego native living in LA, so I’ll see if I can get the exact address next time I’m in the ol’ hometown. Look forward to reading more of your blog in the future!

Hey so in Long Beach, Portfolio coffeehouse is indeed a good indy hangout but they don’t have a pot going all the time anymore because they said, “their customer’s prefer the house french roast.”

BUT

“Hot Java” on Broadway and Junipero(close to Portfolio) has *only* fair trade except for 2 of their brews. AND! (i’m excited because i just found this all out tonight)….AND! they only use triple insulated cups that are 99% recycled material(triple insulated so they don’t need the cardboard sleeves) and they use recycled paper and plastics for their foods and they even have non-dairy whip cream!

i nearly died.
