Classy glass reusable straws

Posted by Siel in environment (Monday March 9, 2009 at 12:33 pm)

Not too long ago, I wrote about reusable straws, highlighting bamboo and steel options. Then last week, I found a glass option — which actually seems to me to be the best-looking option of all.

 Classy glass reusable straws

Always wanted to sip hot chocolate — or hot coffee — through a straw? GlassDharma’s glass straws work for both hot and cold drinks! Handmade in the U.S, GlassDharma straws are both dishwasher and microwave safe and come with a lifetime guarantee for repair or replacement.

Pick from a plain straight straw or a straw with a bend; more colorful straws called “Decorative Dots” are also available. Get them for $5 each, or get a 4-pack with a free cleaning brush for $14.95, at Buy Green.

  1. I LOVE my GlassDharma drinking straws. I caught a whole shitload of hate on Fark.com because of them, so they’re good for that if nothing else.

Seriously, the guys who makes them is the sweetest person. I’d probably buy anything he comes up with.

  2. People don’t use straws at home, so why do people feel the need need to use straws in the first place everytime they drink a beverage in a restaurant?

Plastic straws are a ridiculous waste of natural resources and they only serve to pollute our environment. I served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Ecuador and ate at many restaurants there, none of which provide straws with the customers’ beverages.
