>> If all your friends jumped on the green bandwagon…. One scientist says people who don’t care about saving the environment can be nudged into eco-action if they think they’re doing what everyone else is doing. (via Web Teacher)

>> 100+ environmentalists took part in an aerial photo action outside the UN Climate Conference in Poznan, Poland today. The purpose: To call for a bold new climate target of 350 parts per million, what many scientists consider the safe upper-limit of C02 in the atmosphere. The image, in case you can’t figure it out, is “a figure on a sinking island holding the 350 target above its head”

>> L.A. businesses are lining up to get Green Business Certification from the city. Actual certification won’t begin for at least 6 months, but LA DWP’s given the city a $150K grant to fund the program — so the city’s looking for an organization or company to run the certification program.

>> Santa Monica businesses, BTW, can already get green business certification through the nonprofit Sustainable Works.
