- The latest on minimum fair trade prices for coffee: One guy at a recent fair trade conference in the Dominican Republic reports that “a proposal was generated to raise both the premium and the minimum price. The more business-savvy producer representatives were against it, but this proposal passed with about 95% approval.” Anyone got more news on this?



Electric cars will not happen without a total redesign of battery power. Battery technology is driven by the laptop industry. And they have found few ways of getting more juice out of battery’s. They get the longer life from more efficient circuitry. There has been billions spent by computer companies on new battery technology and they have come up with very little.
Fuel cells require hydrogen and is extremely difficult to transport. Basically if we didn’t have any oil. And we could invent a fuel we would invent oil. And that is the worlds problem. From a fuel point of view. Oil is spectacular.
