Put together by the United Students for Fair Trade and California Student Sustainability Coalition, this event promises you’ll “get involved in engaging dialogue, eye-opening workshops and practical activism trainings working towards a more sustainable and just world.” Cost: $25 if you register before Feb. 1, $35 after.
>> Fair Trade Federation Conference 2009 happens March 27 – 29 at Doubletree Hotel in Portland. There’ll be seminars on the business of fair trade and networking opportunities. Cost: $300, or $150 for FTF and IFAT Members.
>> Ballston Spa, NY’s declared the 9th Fair Trade Town in the U.S. Earlier: Montclair, NJ becomes the eighth fair trade town, London a fair trade city.
