The 65-foot long Metro bus will ONLY be used on the Orange Line. The exemption only covers where the busway crosses public streets, the short segment of street between the busway and Warner Center, and the “deadhead” trips between Warner Center and the bus yard in Chatsworth.
(The Times article doesn’t actually say the 65-foot bus would be used on Metro Rapid … because it won’t.)

The Times article basically says the plan’s to use it for the Orange line and Rapid lines, which I guess wasn’t quite accurate. Thanks for the additional info.
