Halloween pumpkins>> Create a costume for the Inhabitat Green Halloween Contest! Just submit a photo of your “one-of-a-kind, green-themed, DIY costume” into Inhabitat’s Green Halloween Costume Photo Contest for a chance to win a solar-powered Bogo flashlight, a $100 gift certificate to the Inhabitatshop or other Inhabitat goods!

>> Submit a fair trade recipe and win a basket of fair trade goodies! Alter Eco’s putting together a Fair Trade Community Cookbook — and wants your help! The top 10 rated recipes will win its creator an Alter Eco gift basket. Even if you don’t have a recipe to submit, you can still browse Alter Eco’s submissions to pick out a recipe for your next meal.

  1. Gotta love random good luck… I LOVE the image of the little pumpkin in the big one’s mouth! I just need to remember the idea come Halloween this year. I have a garden full of small gourds and I never know what to do with them. This will be a welcome ‘addition’ to my decorations. Thanks for the inspiration!

    (and now back to my regularly scheduled search on creative costume design for an upcoming party)
