- Fancy a Welsh farmer? Now Welsh milk cartons sport singles ads — of organic farmers, no less!
- How green is your alma mater (PDF)? My undergrad wasn’t big enough to get listed, and my current institution has a D. My univs. suck. (via Grist)
- Ads by The Donald T. Sterling Corporation in the LA Times are so ugly that some bloggers have started a petition to make them less appaling.
- Valet parking at Chuckee Cheese in Reseda. I have actually never been to a Chuckee Cheese, and now that I don’t have a car, what’s the point?

I’m stunned at some of the findings on the greenness of various universities. I would never, ever have guessed that my PhD institution was so high, and if that’s the case, why is my current institution so low, when it is appears to be so much more responsible?

Why is there an entry for “University of California” and one for UCLA? Is one supposed to be system-wide? I don’t get it–it seems sloppy to me.
That said, I wish Harvard Envy applied to this ranking more–they got an A-.

U of C is one of the univ. systems of California (the state). UCLA is just one of those univs in the system. We also have UCI, UCSB, etc. etc.
meg — Which is your current institution? I’m guessing that both our institutions have low rankings because of their irresponsible investment decisions. Also, at least at USC, they keep putting in grass and flowers that are clearly not suited for our desert climate; they’re watered profusely until they inevitably wither in the SoCal heat after a few weeks — only to be replaced next graduation season or parents’ weekend.
I do need to look further into this though.
