Clicklist: How to date a digital camera — or a killer assassin

>> Digital camera as dealbreaker. A lil fiction:

‘You want a photo in the Comfort Inn?’ …
‘It’s where we’re staying!’
This, I couldn’t argue with.

BTW: Put in “comfort inn” in the Flickr search box and you’ll see that many many people do indeed feel their stays at this cheap place is worth documenting.

>> How to date an assassin — or not. Jason P Howe recounts his relationship with his girlfriend Marylin, who was leading a secret double life as an assassin for right-wing death squads in Colombia’s brutal civil war. (via kottke)

>> Do smart people like the arts, or do the arts make people smarter? Scientists are still not sure, but the research sounds interesting: “We now have further reasons to believe that training in the arts has positive benefits for more general cognitive mechanisms.”
