why not use a scrapped top feed washing machine?
plenty of ventilation and with drainage :-)
i am sure you can find one very cheap in any scrap yard, if you can find a nearby scrap yard…

i guess you find some environmentally friendly paints somewhere in a variety of colours. and you can change the look of the machine according to your whim, not just “you can choose the colour you want as long as it is blue” :-)
