>> The new College Sustainability Report Card’s now out! My alma mater University of Southern California gets a C+; its rival UCLA gets a B-. Above’s the side by side comparison. (via grist)

>> LA’s not faring too well on city rankings — the 2008 SustainLane U.S. City Rankings and the Forbes’ list of the nation’s most stressful metro areas to be exact. Reasons: poor air quality, roadway congestion, sprawl, housing affordability, unemployment, and gas prices.

>> Just in time for Green Jobs Now: LA officials want to build a green industrial park — aka CleanTech Manufacturing Center — in downtown LA “to create jobs with a cluster of environmentally sustainable companies on a former brownfield site.”
