  1. We have some pencils made out of recycled, retired dollar bills at the school I work at. They are harder to break than normal pencils. They are also nearly impossible to sharpen, even with an electric sharpener. It’s a logically trade-off problem.

  2. O’Bon pencils are even easier to sharpen than wooden pencils and when sharpened, you may even be able to read the headlines. Probably not the same grade of pencils you have at school, Emma.

  3. Sometimes I sharpen pencils with a lil penknife. It’s not hard, and it allows you to customize the length of your lead — Might be helpful for sharpening these dollar bill pencils too –
