>> The next 6-week Green Living Workshops at Sustainable Works start at 7 pm next week. Pick between Tuesday classes at Patagonia or Wednesday classes at the Santa Monica Main Public Library, then RSVP to roth_barent@smc.edu to reserve your spot or for more details, as the website‘s not updated yet.

>> Sustainable Works’ first annual fundraiserhappens next Thursday. All who’re willing to part with $75 are welcome to attend.

>> The Venice Neighborhood Council’s put together a State of Our Oceans Town Hall Forum featuring speakers from Algalita Foundation, Heal the Bay, and Santa Monica Bay Keeper “to discuss the dangers our oceans face, how it affects us all, and what each of us can do to make a difference.” The FREE event happens Thursday, Oct. 23 from 6 – 8 pm at Westminster Ave. Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice.

>> Tour the LA River via a car-caravan on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 10 am – 4:30 pm, taking off from LA River Center & Gardens, 570 W. Ave 26, Los Angeles. Cost: $20 for Friends of the LA River members; $25 for everyone else. RSVP’s required to Ramona at mail@folar.org or 323.223.0585.
