As Ze Frank said, procrastinating can be learned: “Beginning procrastinators should start with small solvable tasks that are related to but not identical to the thing that’s being put off.” Here’s how to work on important tasks on your computer all day without actually taking any steps towards whatever you were supposed to accomplish on your computer today:
>> First, watch Ze Frank’s short video so you can procrastinate effectively:
>> Speed up your PC’s startup with the help of Lifehacker’s complete guide. After a couple days of hard work, you may shave a few seconds off your startup time….
>> Speed up your web browsing. Implement those 10 tips and maybe the time you save on future web research will make up for the time used up by your implementation…
>> Install 18 — then 7 more “must have” software programs recommended Farhad Manjoo at Slate.
>> Lastly — My best tip for not procrastinating on the computer: Disable and/or uninstall all IM services.

IM/schmIM. I take the laptop somewhere where I don’t have internet. If I really need to look something up, I can use the slow and inconvenient internet connection on my phone.
