I've been using it for about a year and until recently have found it the best: not a sweat-suppressant, but also cutting the odor without attempting to mask it and not leaving the white residue. However, and this may be because I'll whip it out a couple of times a day to reapply (therefore I'm dry--which I learned from the Grist article is a no-no), of late my armpits have gotten super super itchy! Painfully so. And since I've stopped wearing deodorant at all for the past week as an experiment, they have definitely calmed down. My contribution to this discussion is pretty ambivalent: the crystal is awesome! Except when it isn't. I was doing my eco best as well as trying to maintain a healthier way of keeping fresh & clean. Tom's deo left me smelling worse than I would had I gone skin. I was the worse choice ever.
