>> The skinny on eco-lube and lingerie. Eco fashion zine Coco Eco’s latest issue’s all about romance and seduction, eco-style. Unfortunately, the mag chose a woman with co-dependency issues to write an article called “4 Tips to Survive Valentine’s Day …. If you’re Single!” The girl thinks it’s possible to enjoy Valentine’s Day as a single person — but only with “some practice (and possibly years of counseling…).” WTF. Earlier: Eco-friendly bras and panties; Sex Positive Week.

>> The skinny on raw milk. Says Umbra at Grist: “Last year I asked the dairy farmer whose raw milk I was raised on what he thought about the whole debate. Though he of course drank raw milk from his cows, he likened it to knowingly risking your life, the way we do every time we step into a car.” Earlier: Milk story — now with less pus.

>> The skinny on BPA. “NEARLY ALL CANNED FOODS CONTAIN BPA,” writes Beth at Fake Plastic Fish. Only 3 canned brands shun BPA: Eden Organics, Henry & Lisa’s Natural Seafood, and Vital Choice. Earlier: FDA forced to redo its risk assessment of BPA

Update, 5/11/09: States start banning BPA in baby bottles.
