>> DWP urges energy conservation while the city lets 800 billboards get converted to digital. “The average home uses the same energy in one day that a digital billboard burns through in a single hour. Who’s really in the dark about the facts here?”

>> DOT Wants to Remove Crosswalks to Protect Pedestrians. Apparently, moving traffic along trumps pedestrian safety for the Department of Transportation. The crosswalk in question connects housing to businesses in North Hollywood, so some public outcry’s already begun. If you’re in NoHo, get involved!

>> Unrelatedly, here are 10 Homemade Laundry Soap Detergent Recipes. They don’t sound too hard to make either! Might have to give ‘em a try once I finish my current bottle. (via Lifehacker)
