>> Went to the green cosmetics panel featuring Stacy Malkin (right), author of Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty! Unfortunately, I got there an hour late due to horrendous traffic. The tardiness wasn’t public transit related; I carpooled with Barent. Sharing a ride shares the suffering –

>> Green cleaned my microwave. These eco-friendly instructions totally worked — and made me realize that I really should do this more often.

>> Saw a preview screening of The Duchess, which for some reason was combined with a designer shopping event at Paramount Studios. Greenish angle: Toms shoes was there!

>> Drank wine at Green Business Networking. To all of you who email me individually every time I mention GBN, asking for GBN’s website: The organizers’re old school. Not only do they not have a website, they shut down the party at 9 pm! Just show up at the appointed place at the appointed time, biz cards in hand.

Other events included Hannah’s improv comedy show followed by lovely drinks at Kitchen 24 and a less lovely trip to Hollywood Tow, a drawing class, a failed attempt to get free pie at a Pushing Daisies publicity stunt followed by a lunch at Monsieur Marcel with Summer, and an uneventful art show opening, among other things.
