Clicklist: Things I want to eat but can’t

>> If I hadn’t made a new year’s resolution, I’d get a picnic packed by Large Marge Sustainables. This pescatarian-focused company puts together tasty organic picnic baskets with local, organic dishes.

Look through the menu and drool over the grilled sweet eggplant and salmon bruschetta, chocolate cupcakes with molten center and white chocolate frosting…. Everything’s delivered with reusable plates and flatware in a biodiesel car. And all of this costs just $20 a person — including a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc!

>> If I lived in Silver Lake, I’d totally get handmade tamales from La Guera Tamalera, made with local and organic ingredients by the self-described “white girl tamale maker.” Unfortunately the delivery charge is 60 cents per mile — and I live 19 miles away! Vegan and vegetarian options are available; a dozen tamales cost $58.

Update: You can now get FREE local delivery from La Guera Tamalera by mentioning greenlagirl when ordering.
