- Organic cotton / bamboo blend Tshirts from Quiet Hero. 10% of profits’re donated to helping heal children injured in war zones, but as you know, % profits is a v. murky number. Lee of QH says the donation comes to $1 – $3 per $68 shirt, so make your decision by deciding if you feel the eco-design’s worth $65-$67 to you.

As a representative of Quiet Hero, I’d like to clarify what we’re about.
The purpose of Quiet Hero clothing is to offer unique designs and comfortable materials in t-shirts for people that are tired of the same-old skull and bones/tattoo shirts that we see every time we go out.
As a matter of personal priorities, we decided that at least 10% of our profits go toward a cause we care about; helping heal children injured in war zones.
We DON’T want you to think that by buying our shirt you will be singlehandedly healing a child. That takes more than one shirt, or one person, or one organization.
To help the child we’re currently working with has taken hundreds of people throughout the world volunteering their time, many organizations, and the goodwill of an awful lot of folks. To pay for it solely with 10% of our profit, we’d need to sell thousands of our shirts.
What happens instead is that we sell a few shirts, raise a little awareness, partner with others, accept donations, and fund the rest out of our own pocket.
We DO want people to know that some companies, ourselves included, feel that going into business solely for your own profit is an old idea.
We DO want people to know that when they wear our shirts they are in some small way doing more than just wearing an amazingly fashionable and comfortable shirt.
We DO want more people to recognize that doing business and doing good are not mutually incompatible.
We have an incredibly talented designer, we work with gifted artists, and we strive to create designs you won’t see anywhere else and that you’ll be excited to put on. That we go beyond just making a great shirt is a matter of personal pride. Whether all that is worth the money you spend now that you’re more fully informed…is up to you.

Meh, I’d rather give my $$ directly to the non-profit.
