>> Find out how your neighbors feel about gay marriage. Plug in your zip and you can see which of your neighbors donated money either supporting or opposing Prop 8.

In mine, 48 opposed the measure enough to put money against it (sadly, I was not among them), with one dude shelling out $10,000 and one Perez Hilton parting with $1000. 9 donated money to support the measure. (thanks for the tip, Jeff)

>> I’m joining the Great Los Angeles Walk this year. Are you in? The walk down (mostly) Santa Monica Blvd. begins at 9 am on Sat., Nov. 22.

  1. Great stuff Siel. Did you see the news today that the co-founder of El Coyote gave money to Yes on 8? That should go over well with oh, 80% of their customers.

  2. i live in SF. there were actually 1 out of 4 voters who supported prop 8 for some reason. so i looked up my neighborhood which is located in the central-ish part of the city. out of 562 who donated money, ALL of them opposed it. i didn’t go through every page, but i sorted by the “position” tag. looked both ways, absolutely no supporters. wow.

  3. I can’t believe my neighbor shelled out $25K in support of the proposition! Someone’s a little homophobic in my neighborhood.

  4. that prop 8 listing isn’t complete.. I’m not listed at all, even though I donated to the no on 8 people on three separate occasions.

  5. Did you donate over $50? I think that’s anything $50 and under doesn’t get reported, though I need to double check that. The lowest sum I’ve seen listed is $100.

  7. That El Coyote thing has gotten so big! Last I heard the restaurant peeps made a donation to the group against the prop, but I’m not sure what effect that’s had with the people who were calling for the boycott.

melyssa — Interesting about your ‘hood! I think the yes voters in my hood must’ve been pretty stealth — I didn’t see any yes on 8 lawn signs around, and yet a number of people put money towards it –
