Now even Coca-Cola’s selling fair trade coffee — vending machine style, the Toronto Star reports [Pic from the Toronto Star].
The company launched its “café in a box” on Wednesday, described as “an enclosed box that uses a “pod” system to brew and dispense a finished product at the touch of a button.” Basically, it sounds like those Nestle vending machines, except with better quality coffee and milk.
Coca-Cola’ll have 2 different brands: Far Coast for the higher-end market — which includes a fair trade blend called Passage West — and Chaqwa for the convenience market.
These coffees are avaliable at the “concept store” in Toronto, as well as 4 Toronto-area businesses. Coco-Cola sez it’ll roll out a total of 40 in Toronto by the end of this year.
