it's adorable!

i agree that knitting can be a part of sustainable living. as a vegan that tries to avoid products made in sweatshops, knitting has allowed me to have knitted products that are difficult or impossible to find commercially (for instance, a synthetic made-in-the-usa knitted scarf). and despite the environmental issues in working with synthetic yarn, the environmental impact has to be less if you knit it yourself, rather than have it be produced in a factory.

now if i could just figure out how to make myself shoes!

Plus, no manufactured cover would fit our cell phones and cameras so snugly as the handknit ones :)

I might do a roundup on cruelty-free shoes in the near future. There do seem to be quite a few of them on the net, but the problem is that most women I know really like to try shoes on before buying them (This may be true for boys too, but I usually go shoe shopping with gals). We need to get local shoe stores to carry kind shoes --

Except I spilled wine on it. Pixelle's fine, but her outfit is, um, discolored, with a lovely deep red wine aroma. Hopefully it'll wash out --
