e2: transport: City travel made sustainable

Electric car enthusiasts, Metro riders, bicyclists, walkable-city advocates, and Brad Pitt fans: Here’s a PBS series to inspire you. Watch the new season of e2 transport — a six-episode enviro-series narrated by Brad Pitt — to find out what cities are doing today to green our day to day travels.

The first 30-minute episode, “London: The Price of Traffic,” explores London’s congestion pricing and is available to watch now. Each week, a new episode will go up! Future episodes ill explore the VĂ©lib bicycle program in Paris, the transit-oriented development in Portland as well as food travel miles and other environmental issues.

I just watched “London: The Price of Traffic,” which I found both inspiring and also a bit depressing, just because L.A. is so behind the curve in terms of sustainable transit. Still, all of the episodes will give us a vision of what’s possible, there and here.

A new episode will stream online for free every week from now for 6 weeks. You can, however, also preorder the e2: Transport DVD for $24.99.
